Disable Hidden Tunnel Adapters

In Windows 10, it is possible that a hidden network adapter is causing the device to not connect to the network.

  1. Right-click the Windows logo on the taskbar and select Device Manager.

    Open Device Manager

  2. Click View and check Show hidden devices

  3. Look for adapters with names such as Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter or Tunnel Adapter and right-click them and click Disable

    Disable Device

  4. Disconnect from the network and reconnect.
