Accessing the S&T VPN from Command-Line Linux

How to access the S&T VPN from Command-Line Linux

  1. Install the "openconnect" package
  2. sudo apt-get install openconnect
  3. Connect to our Campus VPN server using the command
  4. sudo openconnect
  5. Answer the prompts. Most users will want the following options:
  6. GROUP: S&T_Campus_Access
    Username: MST-USERS\joeminer
  7. You should see the following banner and connection information
  8. POST
    Got CONNECT response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    CSTP connected. DPD 30, Keepalive 20
    Connect Banner:
    | Missouri S&T Anyconnect VPN Service
    Connected tun0 as, using SSL
    Established DTLS connection (using GnuTLS). Ciphersuite AES128-SHA.
  9. Leave the openconnect terminal window running. You must leave this open to maintain a VPN connection.
  10. Open a new terminal window
  11. You are now VPN connected!
