Google Drive - List of Files

Things of notice in the file listing

The files in the selected folder are listed in this section. As you will notice, it looks like your computer file explorer. The difference is that the files are stored on Google servers instead of locally.

Clicking on a name will open the selected file. You can use check boxes to select multiple files. After that, you can remove, share or make them favorite in just a click, as a group.

Click on the star icon to check the selected files as important.

If a file is shared with others, it will have the text “Shared” at the end of the name of the file.

Besides the Title of the file, Owner name (who created or is assigned as owner later) and Last Modified date is shown for each. There are also other sorting options including Last edited by me, Last opened by me, Quota used.

Quota used sorting is important. If you have space problem, you can easily find the largest files and remove them if you don’t need.

Right clicking on any file will open a Context menu. We will be talking on this in section E.
