Solution

Chrome
To change color and contrast options in-browser:

  • Download and Install extension “High Contrast” by Google from Chrome Web Store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/high-contrast/djcfdncoelnlbldjfhinnjlhdjlikmph?hl=en ) 
  • Activate by clicking the logo to the right of the address bar (half black/half white circle) or using the shortcut SHIFT+F11
  • Select options from drop-down list and choose the option that works best for you
  • Deactivate by clicking the logo to the right of the address bar or using the shortcut [SHIFT]+[F11]

To change zoom settings in-browser:

  • To zoom in on the page, use [CTRL]+[+] (press + more than once to zoom in further)
  • To zoom out on the page, use [CTRL]+[-] (press – more than once to zoom out further)

Firefox

To change default font colors in-browser

  1. Open the Options window
  2. Select “Content” panel
  3. Under “Fonts & Colors”, click the “Colors…” button
  4. Set font color preferences
  5. Uncheck “Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above”

Note: this will change the font colors on all web pages until/unless you go back and check “Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above”

In order to change the color settings for the entire site when using Firefox, you must change your system contrast settings. This will change the appearance of all content on your screen. To change system contrast settings, please consult the tutorial for your operating system below:
