How to Connect to Minerfiles Using WinSCP

How to install and configure WinSCP on Windows.

a. Open the Start Menu and search WinSCP

b. Select WinSCP from the search results.

2. Select destination by double-clicking one of the following:
If you wish to connect to your S: Drive, select User Home Drive (S:)
If you wish to connect to a department or research drive, select DFS

3. When prompted to accept the server's rsa2 key, select Yes.

4. Enter your password and select OK.

5. WinSCP will now load the directory.

 For Personal Computers

1. Download WinSCP

2. Open WinSCP 

a. Open the Start Menu and search WinSCP

b. Select WinSCP from the search results.

3. Configure using the settings listed below in the Session Group Box. When you have entered all the information, select Advanced.

Replace joeminer with your own S&T username and use your S&T password.

4. Select Directories in the Sidebar

5. In the Remote Directory enter one of the following: 

\users\joeminer For the S: Drive

\dept For the Y: Drive

\dfs For the R: Drive

\userweb\joeminer For the W: Drive

6. Select OK and then Save.


7. Enter a name for the connection that you can recognize later, like S&T S Drive or S&T W Drive and select OK.


8. Select Login, and enter your password when prompted.

9. When prompted to accept the server's rsa2 key, select Yes.
